🌱Coachman’s Site Approved For Condos + PTC’s ‘Hello, Dolly’ Has Star

Good morning, neighbors! Joseph Peterson here with today’s copy of the Salt Lake City Daily.

First, today’s weather:

Mainly cloudy and milder. High: 69 Low: 50.

Here are the top three stories today in Salt Lake City:

  1. Utah audiences know her from the RC Willey commercials, but Paige Davis, the Emmy-nominated TV host of TLC’s Trading Spaces, will bring her stage chops to the Pioneer Theater Company’s production of Hello, Dolly, as the titular, fast-singing character, Dolly! The two-week run begins on May 13 with a closing night on May 28. (FOX 13 News Utah)
  2. Salt Lake City Police rescued a mother duck and her eight ducklings at the Pioneer Precinct police station near the Jordan River Trail. In what is almost becoming Salt Lake City’s own “duck tales” this is the second saga of police rescuing ducks this month! The mother duck and her ducklings were seen in the parking lot of the precinct and were carefully escorted back to the river. (KUTV2News)
  3. We highlighted in an earlier edition of the Salt Lake City Daily some of the permit delays and concept woes around a proposed development on the site that once housed the famed Coachman’s pancake house on State Street. Now, Salt Lake City’s Planning Commission has finally approved a plan to flip the iconic Salt Lake pancake house spot into 94 housing units spread across 26,000 square feet across two buildings with a sky bridge connecting them.
