1 dead in Provo car crash on Tuesday

PROVO – A person is dead after their car was hit when they pulled away from a restaurant parking lot near 400 N. 900 East in Provo on Tuesday.

According to Provo Police Sgt. Nisha King, at around 4 p.m., a car pulled out of a Taco Bell parking lot when another vehicle drove into it. The car was hit with a T-bone, killing the driver.

King said the driver who was killed attended Provo school and was around 23 years old.

The crash is currently under investigation, but officials say it is too early to determine if speed or alcohol was a factor.
