RYAN WINBERG WOODWORTH
October 8, 1979 – August 26, 2022
Ryan left us on Friday, August 26, 2022. He was 42 years old.
Ryan made a grand entrance onto the stage of life, being the largest of a set of triplets (with Kristiana and Kevin) born at 1 minute intervals at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Oakland, CA, on October 8, 1979, forming the infamous “R “K,K”. When parents Kaye and Gordon Lewis were slow to provide the neonatal nursery with names, the staff put cards on their incubators identifying them as Peter, Paul and Mary. They were not particularly recognizable as siblings, and many of their friends and classmates would remain unaware of their unique relationship. When his mother later married Warner Woodworth, in whose home Ryan was raised, he became Ryan Winberg Woodworth.
At 6’2″, well-built and better than average good-looking, he could easily have been a male model in a catalogue.
A life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Ryan served honorably for 2 years in the Taiwan Taipei Mission, speaking Mandarin Chinese. He was also active in Scouting, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. He had broad interests and a thirst for knowledge, informally investigating many different philosophies. Ryan very much personified the LDS tenet that identifies all truth as being part of the same great whole.
A red-blooded American boy, his temporal interests included automobiles (both new and classic), influenced more than just a little by his father. He also loved electronic innovation, and was never known to have a cell phone, computer or television that was very much out of date. (Nor sunglasses!). When siblings bought wide screen televisions, Ryan mounted a projector to the ceiling of his home, creating a 10′ wide image on a somewhat distant wall. Top that!
Ryan married Diane Nicole ‘Nikki’ Allgaier on July 18, 2003, in Provo, UT, and they were always one another’s greatest supporter. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Provo Utah Temple on April 27, 2016, a union which continues. Having no children, they made sure to be ‘favorite Uncle Ryan and Aunt Nikki’ to birth-sibling Kevin and wife Suzi’s children, in the image of Ryan’s own ‘favorite Uncle Denny’. Coincidentally, Ryan followed his Uncle Denny through the veil by exactly 10 years, to the day.
Ryan came from a large blended family, with occasions, events and interactions too many to mention. He is survived by parents Kaye & Warner Woodworth and Gordon & Joan Lewis, parents-in-law Carl ‘Jim’ Allgaier & Nancy (John Diefenderfer) Allgaier, siblings Erik (Megan) Lewis, Douglas Lewis, Kevin (Suzi) Woodworth, Kristi (James) Carpenter, Marc Woodworth, Julie (Mike) Stevens, Micah (Ana) Woodworth, Spencer (Deborah) Lewis, Stuart (Stephanie) Lewis, Camille (Kevin) Maynard, Rebekah (Curtis) Flynn, sister-in-law Tara (Geoff) Allgaier, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Harold & Ruth Colvin, Arthur & Ruth Woodworth, Bernard & Juventa Lewis, and siblings Anthony and Amanda O’Kelly.

Graveside Services will be on Thursday September 1, 2022 at 10:00 am in the Provo City Cemetery 610 South State Street, Provo. A luncheon will follow directly after the services. Condolences may be offered online at www.walkersanderson.com
