About Andy Reid

Reid played college football at BYU from 1978 to 1980 and returned to Provo as a research assistant on the staff of BYU head coach LaVell Edwards.

After several years as a college coach, Reid accepted a position with the Green Bay Packers in 1992.

He received his first position as NFL head coach with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1999. Reid led the Eagles to an appearance in Super Bowl XXXIX, where they fell 24-21 against the New England Patriots. After the 2012 season, Reid’s contract with the Eagles was not renewed.

In 2013, he was hired as the chief coach of the Chiefs.

Two seasons ago, Reid led Kansas City to a 31:20 against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV.

Reid led the Chiefs to their second straight Super Bowl appearance last season, in which Kansas City was defeated by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
