BYU Women’s Soccer Releases Loaded 2021 Non-Conference Schedule

PROVO, Utah – The BYU women’s football program has released its non-conference schedule for the 2021 season.

BYU has just completed a unique spring season in the 2020-21 academic year, but now the sport is returning to its signature fall. Last year was postponed to spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

After an 11-4-1 spring season in which the Cougars received a No. 12 seed and a second-round appearance in the NCAA tournament, BYU Women’s Soccer is preparing for a challenging no-conference schedule this fall.

BYU will face six teams of power five conferences, a seventh if you count the Big East as a power conference, with Marquette on the schedule.

The season begins with BYU receiving Big Ten Power Ohio State in South Field on August 19th. Ohio State is one of three non-conference opponents on BYU’s schedule in last year’s NCAA tournament.

During the ninth schedule without a conference, BYU will only leave the state of Utah twice. Both trips take the Cougars to SEC Country, with a view of Auburn (August 21) and Arkansas (August 30). The other road trip takes place on September 9, when BYU takes a bus to Salt Lake City to take on rival Utah.

BYU’s home schedule at South Field includes games against USC (August 26), Marquette (September 2) and Missouri (September 11). The no-conference schedule ends on September 18 against state rival Utah State in Provo.

Fans can purchase season tickets to BYU Women’s Soccer games through BYUtickets.com starting July 13th. On the same day, the West Coast Conference will publish the league plan for the 2021 season. The WCC can boast the reigning national champions of women’s football at the Santa Clara Broncos this year.

Jennifer Rockwood enters her 27th year as the head coach of BYU Women’s Soccer. She appears to have another loaded roster led by WCC Offensive Player of the Year Mikayla Colohan and nine other starters with Cameron Tucker.
