- Fastest EVM chain – In collaboration with Mysten Labs, Celo has set itself the goal of becoming the fastest EVM chain with up to 140,000 transactions per second in order to promote the usability and scalability of the Celo platform
- Introduction to Provo – Provo was created to allow central banks to explore and experiment with central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) and other risk-free legal and permission-free digital assets on the Celo platform
- KickStarter on Celo – KickStarter, a leading crowdfunding platform, has chosen the Celo network to host its new decentralized protocol for a more open, collaborative and decentralized approach to crowdfunding
Celo has been particularly focused on growing Africa’s emerging markets and the milestones mentioned above provide a glimpse of what to expect for this mobile-first blockchain on the continent.
