Clearfield Police are still investigating clues in a hit-and-run accident that killed the Ogden man | Police & Fire Brigade

CLEARFIELD – Police renew their calls for public assistance in identifying the driver in a fatal hit-and-run accident last week.

Clearfield Police on Thursday released a new photo of the vehicle believed to be involved in the June 9 incident, which is described as a lighter – possibly white or off-white – 1992-1997 model year Cadillac Seville.

According to a press release, police believe the car was traveling east on 300 North and turning north on Main Street. At around 9:28 pm, 67-year-old Robert Gormley from Ogden was crossing the street when he was hit near 500 N. Main St. The vehicle exited the scene east on 650 North. Gormley later died in a Layton hospital, deputy police chief Devin Rogers previously said.

Although investigators have already checked several surveillance videos, investigators are seeking help from other drivers who may have been in the area at the time, particularly those who may have in-vehicle camera systems that may have captured the events.

Anyone with information that may be of use in the investigation is encouraged to contact the Clearfield Police Department Communications Center at 801-525-2806.
