Loner wolves walk alone

Sept. 21, 1937 – April 1, 2022

Dennis Lamaun Ney passed away from natural causes at Lakeridge Senior Living in Orem, Utah. He was 84 years old.

Dennis was born in Heiner, Utah, and grew up in Kenilworth and Spanish Fork.

He went to school to be a barber and worked at Johnny’s Barber Shop in Provo, and then worked at Utah State Hospital. After that, he went to work for the Utah State Training School until he retired.

Dennis enjoyed working in the garden. He and his wife Samia had a beautiful yard with many flowers. When he was younger, he loved fishing and riding horses.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dennis E. Ney and Leola Draper, wife, Samia Dajany, a brother, Jim Ney, and 3 grandchildren, Jamin Soto, Jordan Soto, and Destiny Soto.

He is survived by his sisters, Deon Scott and Patsy Jackson, daughter, Denice Ney-Lugo (Arturo Lugo), son, Wayne (Kim) Riley Ney, 3 grandchildren, Job (Brooke) Soto, Anthony Lugo, and Mylenna Lugo, and 4 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022, at 12:00 Noon at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home 85 East 300 South Provo Utah. Following the service, we will meet at Provo Cemetery where we will inter the ashes of Dennis, Gloria, Jamin, Jordan, and Destiny.
