Dixie Daniels Obituary (1946 – 2022) – Ogden, UT

Dixie Ann Daniels

February 19, 1946 ~ September 11, 2022

Our sweet momma, Dixie Ann Daniels, is now dancing with Jesus and free from pain. She entered heaven early in the morning on Sunday, September 11, 2002 at the age of 76.

She was born on February 19, 1946, to William Walker and Dixie Ann Allred in Tooele, UT. At the age of 2, her family moved to Moab, UT where she would graduate from high school. After high school, she moved to the big city of Salt Lake where she attended the Vidal Sassoon Beauty School and became a licensed cosmetologist for a short period of time. It was in Salt Lake where she met her husband of 39 years, W. Leo Daniels. She spent most of her life raising her kids and supporting her husband with the exception of a few years where she worked as a jewelry manager for K-Mart. In retirement, she spent her time studying her Bible, swimming, and spending time with her family and friends.

Her faith in God was unyielding. She did not have an easy life but knew that she could get through anything as long as she had the Lord with her. While no words can express how missed she will be, we know that she is home with her King and experiencing more joy than we will ever know on this earth.

Dixie is survived by her children and their spouses, David and Sherrie Daniels, Jon and Tori Daniels, Jason and Tiffany Daniels, Jenny and Paul Austin, Joe Daniels and Rachel Daniels; her stepsons, Jerry Daniels and Robert Daniels; her grandchildren and her great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband; her daughter, Becky; her mother and father; and her sister, Darlene Walker.

We will be laying her to rest at a graveside service on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 10 am at Elysian Gardens, 1075 E. 4580 S., Salt Lake City, UT.

Following the graveside, we will be honoring her at a Celebration of Life Service to be held at 2 pm at the Alpine Church, 5050 South 1275 West, Riverdale, UT.

Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
