Dr. Blackfoot’s Kirt McKinlay Retires | news

BLACKFOOT – An open house will be held on Saturday July 10th to celebrate Dr. Celebrating Kirt McKinlay.

Dr. McKinlay was born in Vernal, Utah, but spent most of his childhood in Blackfoot.

He then proudly served on an LDS mission in England from 1971-73 before returning to Blackfoot. He attended Ricks College, graduated, and then attended Brigham Young University. During this time, 1975, Dr. McKinlay met and married his beautiful wife Dan, and together they raised six children. The couple also have 18 grandchildren.

After graduating from BYU, he attended the University of Washington to complete his degree. He completed his medical degree in 1982 and then served as an intern at the Wyoming Family Practice in Casper, Wyo from 1982 to 1985.

In 1985, Dr. McKinlay returned to Blackfoot to start his family doctor practice and joined Blackfoot Medical Center.

Dr. McKinlay invites everyone to stop by Bingham Medical Center on Saturday, July 10th, from 5pm to 7pm in preparation for his retirement.

The people at BMC express their love and good wishes for Dr. McKinlay’s unwavering dedication to the center and its staff and patients over the years in the Blackfoot area.
