How to Celebrate July 4 in Utah • Salt Lake Magazine

In a record drought year, lighting fireworks at home could pose a significant forest fire risk. The safest way to see fireworks is through a pro-run show (especially since some cities even ban them for the July 4th holidays). Americans have always had a penchant for blowing things up, but fireworks are certainly not the only way to celebrate. This weekend on July 4th, events from all the stars and flicks across the state will take place this weekend. These are just a few of them.

Wasatch Front July 4th Events

July 4th at The Gateway

July 4, 2021 at 5 p.m.

The family-friendly event features live musical entertainment, food and games. Fireworks start at dusk. Admission is free.

Freedom Days in Heritage Park

July 5, 2021 at 10 a.m.

This Is The Place hosts an “old-fashioned” celebration in the park that begins with a flag ceremony and includes a watermelon eating contest, candy cannon, and parade. Tickets are on sale.

Sandy City 4th of July Celebration

July 3, 2021 at 6:50 am

Activities for the event include: Flag Ceremony, Sandy Promenade, 5K, SpikeBall Tournament, Scavenger Hunt across Sandy City, Food Trucks at Sandy Amphitheater Park, and Fireworks at 10:00 PM Registration required for Sandy Promenade.

West Jordan West Stampede Western

1-3 July 2021, starts on Thursday at 12 noon

The West Bank celebration consists of three days of parade, rodeo and carnival, including rides and food and fireworks on Saturday at 10 p.m. Tickets for the carnival and the rodeo are available.

North Ogden Cherry Days 2021

July 3, 2021 (all day)

North Ogden City sponsors the Medallion Search, the 5K Fun Run / Walk, the Sunrise Ceremony, and the Fireworks Spectacular. Registration is required for some events.

Freedom festival

2nd-5th July 2021

Provo’s annual Freedom Festival is one of the largest in the area, including the Freedom Days Carnival, Hot Air Balloon Fest, Colonial Heritage Festival, and the infamous Fireworks, a live musical tribute to all that Merica, the Stadium of Fire , is. West Bountiful City Independence Day Celebration

July 3, 2021 at 8 p.m.

West Bountiful will sponsor a food truck and fireworks display in City Park. The celebrations begin with a concert at 8 p.m. and a fireworks display at 10 p.m. Dessert food trucks are ready. This is a free event.

Thanksgiving Point fireworks show

July 3, 2021 at 4 p.m.

Thanksgiving Point is hosting fireworks at Electric Park. There will be concessions and providers there. Fireworks are to be set off around 10 p.m. The organizers suggest bringing a blanket to better enjoy the evening celebrations. Admission is free.

Park City July 4th Events

Fourth of July in Park City Parade

July 2, 2021 at 11 a.m.

Main Street will be closed to traffic for the Fourth of July Parade in Park City at 9:30 a.m.

A shuttle parking lot will be available at Park City High School on Kearns Blvd / Hwy 248 with free transportation to Main Street. More parade details can be found here.

Park City restaurants celebrate July 4th

2-3 July 2021

The Park City Area Restaurant Association (PCARA) member restaurants toast Independence Day with craft cocktails, a classic roast pork from the neighborhood and live music. The Deer Valley Resort’s Friday Afternoon Club on the bridge at Goldener Hirsch, which has teamed up with Traeger Grills and the Alpine Distillery to make sure you’re fed and watered. Don Woodbury will play live music from 3pm to 6pm on Friday July 2nd.

Hearth and Hill are hosting a roast pork in the neighborhood on their patio from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 2. The price for a plate is $ 20 and reservations can be made at the restaurant by calling 435-200-8840.

On Friday July 2nd, OP Rockwell will host the Thieves Run Wild Album Release Party with guest artists Lee Rafugee and the J-Rad Cooley Band. Tickets start at $ 15 for this 21+ event. Entry is at 8 p.m. And on Saturday, Utah-born country singer Steven Bosco will perform in the Summer Nights Concerts series. Tickets start at $ 15 for this 21+ event. July 3rd Celebration at Canyons Village

July 3, 2021 at 4 p.m.

As the city’s celebrations have been scaled back this year, there’s more Independence Day fun a day early with the July 3rd celebration at Canyons Village on Park City Mountain. There will be live music, children’s activities, and live art activities from local artists, but no fireworks this year. The entrance to the event is free.

Events in Southern Utah July 4th

July 4th Celebration at Greater Zion Stadium

July 3, 2021 at 7 p.m.

Country star Russell Dickerson will host an event on July 4th at St. George’s Greater Zion Stadium. When it gets dark there will also be a big fireworks display. Tickets are $ 15 and seating is limited.

4th of July Celebration in St. George City George

July 3, 2021 (all day)

This year, the entire celebration takes place in Town Square Park, with all-day events from live music and food stalls to slip-n-slides and a talent show. Admission is free.

Kanabs Small Town Independence Day Celebration

July 3, 2021 (all day)

The celebration starts bright and early with a cannon salute in the center of town at 6 a.m., followed by a hearty pancake breakfast hosted by the Kanab High School football team. The parade begins at 10 a.m. on Center Street. Following the parade, Jacob Hamblin Park will also feature food, vendors, crafts, activities for the kids, live entertainment and more. After the sun has set and the bands have finished playing, fireworks await you. Admission is free.

Cedar City July 4th Parade and Park Celebration

July 5, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.

Cedar City celebrations begin with a parade at 9:30 am. Spectators can line up along University Boulevard from 300 West to Main Street and either side of Main Street from Center Street to 400 North. Following the parade, there will be family activities in Main Street Park until 2 p.m. More information about the Cedar City Parade can be found here.
