Jack Sidney Pace | Obituaries

Our beloved Jack Sidney Pace, 89, returned to his heavenly home on Wednesday December 16, 2020 due to complications related to Covid.

He was born on October 8, 1931 in Vernal, Utah, to George Sidney and Flossie Rose Evans Pace. He married his high school girlfriend, Laura Mathael McConkie, on October 5, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised their two daughters Trina and Carla adoringly and shared with them their immeasurable love for nature and nature.

Jack was a United States Navy veteran and proudly served with honors during the Korean War.

He found love again and married Darlene Carson Beveridge. They shared a love for camping, fishing, gardening, and being close to friends. Jack had the “present from Gab” and never met a stranger! He’s made friends whether he’s been to a campsite or the hardware store! He loved his flowers, but in later years had to sit and watch Darlene tend her garden. He took great pleasure in feeding and watching the hummingbirds, a love he passed on to his daughters!

He is survived by his wife Darlene, sister Etta (George) Scotter in Edmonton, Canada, and daughter Trina (Steve) Jacobson in Idaho Falls, ID. Daughter Carla (W. Boyd) Jacob in Peachtree City, GA. Stepchildren; Jolene (George) Rausch, Gregory (Norma) Beveridge, Janine (Randy) Crane, David (Eileen) Beveridge, 22 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Before him died his parents George and Flossie, his brother Ray, his little sister Norma Marie, the half-sisters Pearl, Reva, Majorie, the stepdaughter Diane Beveridge and his lover Laura Pace.

Jack was buried in Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. A funeral prayer and dedication were offered by his grandson, Dallin Beveridge.

Due to Covid 19, a celebration of the life, memorial and military honors for Jack is planned and announced for a later date. A big thank you to the veterans administration and its angels Shella and Desiree.

Papa, may God be with you until we meet again
