PROVO, Utah – College basketball insider Jon Rothstein’s slogans are an integral part of the sport. From “This Is March” to “Stay Positive. Test negative. ”Rothstein has many memorable one-liners for“ We Sleep in May ”.

Some of his best slogans are about coaches. From “Dana Altman Solving Rubik’s Cubes” to Michigan-based Juwan Howard spearheading “The Fab Vibe,” Rothstein has a catchphrase for you if you’re a name in college creation.

For those who don’t know who Rothstein is, he’s a college basketball insider for CBS Sports, hosting the College Hoops Today podcast.

After BYU won the Diamond Head Classic over South Florida, Rothstein dropped his new slogan for BYU trainer Mark Pope. It reads: “Mark Pope. Keep the faith. “

Simple and to the point. It plays on the Pope’s name and works even better when you consider that the school principal is third year at BYU running a program at a faith-based school.

It’s not quite up to the level of “West Virginia: Tougher Than A Long Weekend With Your In-Laws”. Of course, a weekend will soon get to know BYU in the Big 12 Conference starting in 2023, but having a Rothstein ism is better than no Rothstein ism.

Rotstein has also created a t-shirt with the slogan “keep the faith”. It is spreading.

The Pope’s program has caught the attention of national talking heads like Rothstein through the profit that BYU has produced under his leadership. In 71 games, Pope’s BYU teams are 54-17.

BYU will be back in action tonight when they face the SEC’s Vanderbilt Commodores in the semi-finals of the Diamond Head Classic in Hawaii.
