1935-2021

LaPreal Rowley Vincent, our most beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend, peacefully returned to our Heavenly Father on October 21, 2021 at the age of 86 to be surrounded by family and friends, which brought her great joy!

LaPreal was born on October 2, 1935 in Provo, Utah, the second of 5 children to Reuben and Nellie Woodward Rowley. She grew up attending schools in Orem.

LaPreal married Robert Childs in 1952. They were later divorced. They had 5 children: Lorna (Ron Trogsted), Carl, Joyce (Dennis Patten), Alan (Lisa), Kent (Cindy).

In 1965 she met Sherl Vincent and married them. Sherl had two sons, Robert and Jimmy. LaPreal and Sherl have been happily married for 56 years.

LaPreal has lived an extremely active and productive life. She was an active member of Latter-day Saint Church of Jesus Christ and had many callings. She loved going to church and interacting with members. She held out until the end. She was an example of selfless love and service.

LaPreal was a joker and loved to tease everyone. She was also known for her craftsmanship and delicious baking.

She leaves behind her husband, four children, brother Dean (Bonnie) Rowley, sister-in-law Liz Vincent, 64 grandchildren and great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Carl Childs, step-sons Robert Vincent and Jimmy Vincent, her sister Faye Madsen and her granddaughter Tami Childs.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Suncrest 3rd Ward LDS Chapel, 600 W. 90 N. in Orem Utah. Family and friends can call on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for a tour of the church. The burial takes place in the Orem city cemetery.
