Laramie’s basketball teams sweep Palmer Ridge in day one of the Greeley Roundball Invitational
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) – Both of Laramie’s basketball teams found considerable success on the hardwood Thursday against Colorado opponent Palmer Ridge.
Kylin Shipman was the star of the show for the Lady Plainsmen; it seemed like every time she touched the ball the possession ended in a Laramie bucket. The game was close early on, but the team pulled away to secure a 59-47 victory. The 4A Southeast leaders could not have asked for a better start to the season, as this win moved their record to a perfect 5-0.
The boys team put on a three point shooting clinic in their contest. Max Alexander was virtually unstoppable from beyond the arc, but he wasn’t the only one who found success scoring the ball. Four Plainsmen ended the game in double figures to power their way to a 73-57 win. This result brought their record back over .500– now sitting at 3-2.
