MILLCREEK, Utah – A large building fire in the Millcreek area was observed across the Salt Lake Valley late Tuesday afternoon. Flames were seen on multiple FOX 13 cameras and videos were shared by people nearby.
According to the fire department, one person was taken to hospital for reasons unknown.
The fire was in an apartment complex under construction on the corner of Brickyard Road and 1300 East. The flames reportedly reached heights of up to 100 feet when the fire department fought the 3-alarm fire.

People are urged to avoid the intersection of 3300 South and 1300 East due to interrupted power lines. Rocky Mountain Power reports that 2,500 customers in the area are without power, which may be restored by 10:30 p.m.
