Miami and Brigham Young will meet for a home soccer series in 2026 and 2028, the schools said on Thursday.

Miami will host BYU on September 19, 2026 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Two seasons later, BYU will host the Hurricanes on September 2, 2028 in Provo, Utah.

If they don’t meet in a postseason game before 2026, Miami and BYU will face each other for the first time since 1990 when the Cougars angered senior and defending national champions Hurricanes in Provo.

The two programs have enjoyed strong performances lately. In the latest Associated Press poll of the 2020 season, BYU (11-1) ranked 11th in the country and Miami (8-3) 22nd for 2021.

“We’re always looking for ways to plan famous football programs like Miami,” said BYU sports director Tom Holmoe in a statement. “Traveling to an ACC country and competing in an NFL stadium will be a great experience for our coaches, players and fans.”

“We are excited to include BYU in our future football schedule,” said Miami AD Blake James in a statement. “We remain committed to creating top programs for our games outside of conferences and bringing The U across the country.”
