Nancy Gibson obituary (1939-2021) – Ogden, UT

Our beloved mother, Nancy Helen Sorensen Gibson, returned with honor to her heavenly home on August 21, 2021. She was born on June 8, 1939 in Ogden, Utah, to Lorraine Wright and Earl LeRoy Sorensen.

Nancy was sealed to her eternal companion, Ronald Charles Gibson, on November 7, 1957 in the Temple of Logan, Utah.

Nancy was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She has been a dedicated visiting teacher, Relief Society general president, played the piano and keynote, and served in many other church professions.

Nancy was a talented musician, she played the piano wonderfully and loved to sing, and was often asked to audition at special events and in church. Mother always had a special project to work on and loved sewing and quilting.

Above all, she was a great wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend and is very much missed.

Nancy leaves her husband Ronald, children: Jan (Don) Carter; Joyce (Kevin) Ludlow; Lisa (Ronnie) Reeder; Kenneth (Heidi) Gibson and Paul (Danielle) Gibson; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her siblings: Gene (Jodie) Sorensen, Karen (Alan) Marshall and Brent (Debby) Sorensen.

Her parents preceded her in death.

The family thanks the loving staff at the Auberge Assisted Living Center, Dr. Mark Firth and the Applegate Hospice for loving our mother.
