New Make and Take project available in the museum | People

SWEETWATER COUNTY – The Sweetwater County Historical Museum’s newest make and take project is a do-it-yourself micro-quilting kit for kids.

Crazy for Crazy Quilts, the museum’s fourth quilt exhibition, opened March 2nd in partnership with the Sweetwater County Quilt Guild, and runs through April 30th. Many who had already visited this year’s exhibitions asked about a quilting project for children. Aidan Brady, Public Engagement Coordinator, created one.

The take-away micro-quilting kits are made of paper and foam, do not require sewing, and come with instructions. To pick up one or more of these free kits and check out Crazy for Crazy Quilts, visit the museum at 3 E. Flaming Gorge Way in Green River. The museum’s opening hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entry is free.
