After both the Ogden Raptors and Grand Junction Rockies had their season finales canceled by bad weather on the road Saturday, the two teams trekked west to Grand Junction and will face off to open the Pioneer Baseball League playoffs in a divisional series.
Ogden (51-43) was awarded home-field advantage by virtue of winning the South Division’s first-half championship, but Grand Junction (62-33) surged in the second half to the league’s second-best overall record.
Grand Junction won the season series 11-7 and hosts Game 1 at 6 pm Monday.
The best-of-three series moves to Ogden at 6:30 pm Wednesday, Sept. 14, with an if-necessary Game 3 on Thursday, Sept. 15.
The Raptors are selling all playoff tickets for $8 per game for all reserved seating. Season ticket holders have tickets on reservation for the entirety for all potential games in the Divisional and Championship series, the team announced.
In the North Division, defending champion Missoula (69-26) travels to Billings (53-41) for Game 1, then hosts Games 2 and 3, if needed, on the same dates as the South divisional series.
Below are more notes on the Ogden Raptors’ 2022 season.

The Raptors led the Pioneer League in overall and per-game attendance for the 25th consecutive season at about 3,700 fans per game, though the league’s attendance page was broken as of Sunday.
