WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – On Sunday, New Hanover County’s Ogden Park hosted a food truck rodeo featuring 20 local food trucks.

This was the 13th food truck event held by Parks Conservation of New Hanover County to raise funds for New Hanover County’s parks.

Attendees could listen to live music and enjoy food from food trucks like Poor Piggy’s BBQ, PT’s Olde Fashioned Grille, and Kona Ice.

The event was free and open to the public, attendees only needed money to buy food and drinks.

“We actually do several a year, we usually like an autumn and a spring, and we couldn’t have one last year. This is our big fundraiser, so it’s really great to have this huge turnout and get it going again, ”said Jessica Gray, president of New Hanover County’s Parks Conservancy.

The Parks Conservancy of New Hanover County is a non-profit organization that supports New Hanover County’s parks through fundraising and volunteering, and uses the funds raised to maintain and improve the parks.
