For the first time, travelers can fly Allegiant Air from Phoenix Airport.
The airline, which is geared towards the leisure market, currently flies from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in East Mesa.
Beginning October 8th, Allegiant will offer non-stop services between Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and Provo, Utah. On October 15th, flights from Phoenix to Stockton Metropolitan Airport in California will be added. Allegiant already serves both cities from Mesa.
This marks the first time the Las Vegas-based airline, the main Mesa Gateway carrier, has flown out of Sky Harbor. Allegiant is offering a special one-way fare of $ 38 on both routes.

The airline is also expanding its portfolio in the East Valley. Flights from Mesa to Pittsburgh International Airport will begin on August 15.
“We’re excited to bring affordable access to three new cities so travelers can realize these plans without the hassle of connections and stops,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant’s senior vice president of revenue and planning, in a press release.
“With easy access to Provo, Stockton and Pittsburgh, thousands of new visitors can experience all that the beautiful Phoenix area has to offer,” said Wells.
An Allegiant spokeswoman told the Republic of Arizona that the airline was happy with its operations at Mesa Gateway and that the Mesa-Provo route was successful. The airline sees the new route in Sky Harbor as an addition to the existing route.
The Mesa-Stockton line is due to be interrupted in October. Allegiant will investigate whether this route is better served from Sky Harbor, which may attract more passengers from the West Valley.

Keep in mind that as an ultra-low-cost carrier, Allegiant charges low fares, but things like carry-on baggage, checked baggage, and seat assignments cost extra. Make sure you include this in your budget.
Introductory pricing from Sky Harbor to Provo or Stockton starts at $ 38 each way and must be booked by May 26 for travel through January 3.
Mesa Gateway to Pittsburgh tickets start at $ 89 each way and must be booked by May 26 for travel through January 1.
