Police investigating stabbing in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY – A man was stabbed in the leg early Saturday morning in Salt Lake City.

Police arrived at the scene near 1400 South and State Streets around 7:25 a.m. and found the man in stable condition.

Lt. Andrew Cluff of the Salt Lake City Police Department said officers could have put on a tourniquet before the doctor arrived and took him to the hospital.

He said the victim and witnesses are unwilling to follow up on the investigation, so the police do not have much information.

No suspect has been identified.

Cluff said she doesn’t think there is any further threat to the public.
