Police respond to bomb threat at Ogden-Weber Technical College, no device found

OGDEN, Utah – Ogden-Weber Technical College closed for the day after a bomb threat was made toward the campus Wednesday afternoon.

According to the college’s Facebook page, local police contacted them and informed them of the bomb threat to the main campus at 200 N Washington Blvd, Ogden, around 2:45 pm

“Acting out of an abundance of caution, college officials decided to evacuate the main campus and cancel evening classes,” reads the Facebook post from Ogden-Weber Technical College.

Police performed a security sweep on all buildings and grounds of the campus, and no device was found.

The Facebook post notes that other technical and community colleges across the county were simultaneously targeted.

Classes will begin as usual on Thursday.
