Prep basketball roundup: Ogden High girls speed past American Leadership | News, Sports, Jobs
OGDEN — Ogden High girls basketball wrapped up non-region play with a comfortable, 56-33 home win over American Leadership Academy on Thursday night.
Ashley Christensen led Ogden (7-5) with 21 points, all coming in the first three quarters.
Donna Gonzalez scored 10 points and Brynn Smith hit two 3-pointers. The Tigers pressed, trapped, forced ALA into numerous turnovers and converted several fastbreak chances as they built a 32-12 halftime lead.
Ogden hosts Layton Christian at 7 pm Tuesday, Jan. 10, in each team’s Region 13 opener.

WASHINGTON TERRACE — Bonneville finished its non-region schedule with a home loss to Westlake. Hailee Cherry and McCall Monson led Bonneville (4-6) with four points each.

NORTHRIDG, Calif. — Ten players scored, including three in double figures, as Layton Christian beat University High (California) at the San Fernando Valley Invitational.
Otavio Armani led Layton Christian (10-7) with 15 points. Timmie Olubisi scored 14 points and Deniz Alp Akbas added 10 points.
