OGDEN — Nick Despain passed for two touchdowns and Jett Salmon rushed for two more as Morgan High football won 49-7 on Friday at Ben Lomond.

Salmon opened the scoring on a 5-yard run with 9:12 left in the first quarter for Morgan (7-0, 2-0 Region 13). Quinten Farley recovered a blocked kick in the end zone, Ty Wheeler scored on a 1-yard plunge and Gunnar Lish scored on a 2-yard run to give the Trojans a 28-0 lead after one quarter.

Despain tossed a 16-yard scoring strike to Gavin Turner and a 39-yard touchdown pass to Tate Nelson, both in the second quarter. Salmon capped the Morgan scoring on a 2-yard scamper.

Manase Tuatagaloa hit Jaxon Watson for a 51-yard touchdown pass to get Ben Lomond (3-4, 0-2 Region 13) on the board with 3:03 left in the game.

DAVIS 30, FREMONT 17

KAYSVILLE — Gage Butler made three field goals, including two in the fourth quarter, as Davis beat Fremont (2-5, 2-1 Region 1).

Carter Knight returned a fumble for a touchdown with 38 seconds left in the game to seal the win for Davis (4-3, 2-1), who outscored Fremont 17-0 in the fourth quarter. Jackson Stevens threw two touchdown passes, one to Tyson Elkins and one to Kaden Eggett.

Christian Blanch returned an interception for a TD for Fremont, Slade Parker threw a 63-yard touchdown pass to Jace Hadley and Dax Iverson made a field goal.

SYRACUSE 49, CLEARFIELD 0

CLEARFIELD — Kobe Bennett scored two touchdowns as Syracuse shut out Clearfield (0-7, 0-4 Region 1)

Jake Hopkins got Syracuse (5-2, 3-0 Region 1) on the board on a 5-yard pass to DJ Mayes with 7:59 left in the first quarter. Jake Metcalfe and Brevin Hamblin each scored on 5-yard runs, then Easton Craythorne returned a fumble on a muffed punt 11 yards for a score.

Bennett scored on a 17-yard run to give the Titans a 35-0 halftime lead. Bennett added a 12-yard scoring scamper and AJ Dehorney scored on a 7-yard run, both in the fourth quarter.

WOODS CROSS 17, BONNEVILLE 7

WOODS CROSS — Bonneville and Woods Cross were tied 7-7 in the first half, but a crucial turnover gave the Wildcats an easy scoring opportunity and eventually cost the Lakers in a road loss.

Jaxon Johnson threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Max Diaz for Bonneville (5-2, 1-2 Region 5).

Jacob Howes rushed for a TD and made a field goal for the Wildcats (4-3, 2-1). Woods Cross’ Cash Henderson ran for a 3-yard score.

FARMINGTON 45, ROY 15

FARMINGTON — Farmington scored 28 points in the fourth quarter to blow away Roy in a non-region game.

Farmington (7-0) quarterback Easton Wight threw three touchdown passes and the Phoenix returned both a punt and an interception for touchdowns.

Roy (4-3) scored on a long touchdown pass from Colby Frokjer to Vom Harvey, and a 1-yard quarterback sneak by Dru Gardner that was set up by a 70-yard pass to Robert Young.

VIEWMONT 39, NORTHRIDGE 36

BOUNTIFUL — Luke Jacobs tossed three touchdown passes in the fourth quarter to lead Viewmont to a comeback win over Northridge.

Jacobs scored on a 7-yard run and threw a 37-yard touchdown pass to Scott Noel to give Viewmont (4-3, 1-2 Region 5) an early 14-0 lead. Briton Christensen kicked a field goal as time expired for a 17-7 VHS lead.

Landon Jeppesen took a Jacobs pass 5 yard for a score and Jacobs added a 2-point conversion to make the score 28-25 for Northridge with 9:25 left in the game. Jacobs hooked up with Kingston Mickens for scoring strikes of 25 and 15 yards, giving the Vikings a 39-28 lead with 5:14 left.

Porter Olson threw four touchdown passes, three to Zack Smith, for Northridge (2-5, 0-3). Smith caught a 2-yard scoring strike in the second quarter and a 16-yard touchdown in the third. AJ Tillman returned a fumble 34 yards for a score then caught a 76-yard Olson pass to give the Knights a 28-17 lead.

Olson and Smith connected for a score and a two-point conversion late in the fourth to cap the scoring.

Viewmont racked up 537 yards of offense. Jacobs was 16 of 29 for 298 yards and four touchdowns, adding 85 rushing yards. Miles McGrath rushed 26 times for 161 yards. Mickens totaled 133 receiving yards and Noel 102.

Northridge also had two 100-yard receivers: Tillman at 126 yards and Smith at 106. Olson threw 22 of 31 for 287 yards.

SKY VIEW 27, BEAR RIVER 7

GARLAND — Tydon Jones scored on a 1-yard run with 17 second left in the game as Bear River (2-5, 1-2 Region 11) fell in his homecoming game to Sky View.

LAYTON CHRISTIAN 28, KANAB 7

KANAB — Layton Christian methodically put away the Cowboys, scoring one touchdown in each quarter in a road win at Kanab.

LCA (5-2) took a 14-0 lead into halftime on a Jose Ribeiro 50-yard scoring strike to Ilai Tagidugu and a Jessaia Giatras 3-yard rushing touchdown, with Tagidugu punching in a 2-point run.

Ribeiro struck again with a 26-yard touchdown pass to Malik Johnson in the third quarter, and Manu Vaitaki rounded out the scoring with a 12-yard scoring run in the fourth.

GIRLS SOCCER

SYRACUSE 3, DAVIS 2

KAYSVILLE — Syracuse outscored Davis 2-0 in the second half to grab a region road win late Thursday night that saw the Titans take over sole possession of first place in Region 1 with two games left.

Abby Schofield, Cortney Cobabe and Taylee Hughes each scored for Syracuse (11-4, 8-2 Region 1). Schofield had two assists and Cobabe one.

Davis (9-4, 7-3 Region 1) did not report stats.

FREMONT 4, CLEARFIELD 2

CLEARFIELD — Fremont scored three times in the second half to turn a 2-1 deficit into a region win at Clearfield (5-10, 2-9 Region 1) on Thursday.

Kya Parke netted twice for Fremont (3-12, 3-8). Laynee Rowley and Ashlyn Gwynn each scored once. Brooklyn Robinson had an assist.

Clearfield (5-10, 2-9 Region 1) did not report stats.
