Preparatory Athlete of the Week: Ella Ogden | Sports

It was a stellar day for Clarkston girls’ football as the Bantams beat Class 2A Greater Spokane League opponent Rogers 12-0 on October 7, and particularly for second striker Ella Ogden, who scored three goals and one assist scored.

In honor of the performance, Ogden was voted Prep Athlete of the Week by the Tribune.

Clarkston athletic director Shannon Wilson said the “young climber” Ogden is gaining confidence and “really starting to merge with the team” as the county tournament approaches. The Bantams are currently at the top of the league standings with West Valley after beating the Eagles on Thursday, and Ogden also played a major role in that result by scoring the insurance goal to beat Clarkston 3-1 towards the end of the second half to bring in the lead.

In addition to soccer, Ogden is also active in the bantam girls’ basketball and has played with various spring sports.

“She’s a really good kid too,” said Wilson. “Exactly the kind you want to see. Really good boy.”
