LAKE CITY — Alta-Aurelia’s Nora Peterson held off Manson Northwest Webster’s Alyssa Richman for gold at the South Central Calhoun Invitational here on Tuesday.

West Bend-Mallard’s Tyra Schupbach was fourth, South Central Calhoun’s Chloe Judish finished fifth and Pocahontas Area’s Kristin Axman was ninth.

Richman’s MNW teammate, Preslie Oswald, rounded out the top-10.

Pocahontas Area was the girls runner-up to Alta-Aurelia, followed by Denison-Schleswig, Ogden, Manson Northwest Webster, South Central Calhoun, Sioux Central, Ridge View, Greene County, Newell-Fonda, OABCIG and Southeast Valley.

Kaitlynn Schuler (12th) and Akaysa Duitscher (13th) were next in line for the balanced PAC effort.

Ogden’s Carson Van Sickle won the boys race, as East Sac County’s Parker Engel was the runner-up. Oscar Hanson from Southeast Valley finished third, with teammate Cooper Nuss placing seventh.

For Manson Northwest Webster, Lane Moline clocked in 13th and South Central Calhoun’s Tristan Blair was 22nd.

Ogden was the team champ, followed by Denison-Schleswig and East Sac County.
