Robert Binggeli Johnson, 73, passed away in the early morning on November 8, 2022. He was born in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota on May 31, 1949, the son of Charles Grant and Olive Rudd Johnson. He joined the Navy and traveled to many different countries but ended up in Utah.

He worked as a maintenance supervisor at Hill Air Force Base.

Robert was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He was a cowboy at heart and loved to spend time on his horses, Buck and Nicky, especially in the mountains. Robert loved being in the outdoors whether it was camping or spending time with his family. He was an exceptional leatherworker and could make anything and everything from leather. Robert was a huge fan of the Minnesota Vikings and Atlanta Braves.

Robert is survived by his children, Shayne (Rachelle) Johnson of North Ogden, UT and Lisa (Greg) Ecklund-Meinholz of Littleton, CO; his three grandchildren, Kyree, Alayna, and Michael; brothers, Charles “Chuck” (Julie) Johnson of Yakima, WA and Harry “Mickey” (Kelie) Johnson of Alise, TX; sister, Judy (Mark) Boe of Bountiful, UT; and sister-in-law, Connie Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Donny and JJ; and best friend and love of his life, Elizabeth.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 2 pm at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 pm and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
