Rosemary Coates obituary (1993-2021) – Ogden, UT

Rosemary Elizabeth Willardson Coates

August 28, 1993 ~ July 12, 2021

Rosemary, our beautiful angel, was born on August 28th, 1993 and died on July 12th, 2021.

When Rosemary entered this world, she carried the essence of light, love and joy with her, she made the world a brighter place for all who crossed her path. It was often noticed how much she looked like the baby tanner. She often wore baby gap hats and matching outfits that tickled and delighted many! Rosemary read her mother stories from one of her favorite books, Frog and Toad, when she was a teenager. When she was young, she and her mother, Tracey, dressed up, danced and sang karaoke disco songs. Ephraim and Rose enjoyed many special daddy / daughter dates over the years. Rosemary’s parents Tracey and Ephraim simply adored and loved her with everything they had. She was the center of her parents’ universe, and over the years it was clear that they would go to the ends of the earth and beyond for her.

Rosemary married the love of her life, Adam Coates, on September 21, 2018. You and Adam had a dream wedding full of beauty, love, family, and connection. Adam and Rosemary shared a deep loving bond. Their immense love and connection inspired us all and they were proof that there are great loves. Although their time together was short, their love story was one for the ages. Adam loved Rosemary, he thought she was the nicest and most beautiful woman he had ever met. He knew that life wouldn’t be the same without her and never would be, and he was full of it and gave her everything he had. They lived each day of their marriage with love, passion, and determination. Rosemary left notes around the house telling Adam she loved him to the moon and back! Shortly after they got married, they bought a house and together made it a beautiful home. They quickly expanded their family by adopting fur babies, Bentley and Logan along with several reptiles from the shelter. Their hearts were full and open to love and they always let everyone in.

Rosemary has brought people together all her life. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, included, and deeply cared for. She saw the world through the most beautiful ROSE glasses, she always laughed, her presence made regular everyday activities seem like a fun adventure. You couldn’t help but smile, laugh, and feel loved when you were around her. When she took over a room she made it beautiful, cute and adorable, you just wanted to spend time in your room or at home as it just felt wonderful. Rosemary was affectionately given many adorable nicknames including: Rose, Miss Honey, Misses, Rose Honey, Romary, Rosebud, Bud Weiser, and The Bud.

Rosemary had many talents. She loved to bake, cook, crochet, decorate and was known to have a big heart for all living beings, big and small. She had a particular fondness for bees and elephants and loved the Disney character Stitch. She loved old movies, especially “The Great Escape”. Her favorite actor was Steve McQueen and she even named one of her freckles after him. Rose loved old cars and loved supporting her husband in his passion, working on them and repairing them. She was also passionate about music of all genres, including the 80s, which surprised many when she could recite band names and connect with others much older than herself. She had always wanted a trampoline too, so Adam got one for her and she jumped on it almost every day. She and her best friend Libby enjoyed a special bond and were like sisters. Adam and Rose had set up a guest room for Libby, and she stopped by almost every weekend and spent time with Rose.

Rosemary was fearless. She never saw obstacles and approached everything with hope and strength. Rosemary was the most solid of character and work ethic, and she could always be trusted and trusted by anyone. She didn’t let anyone down and gave 100% for everything she was committed to. She had such a pure and honest soul, her intentions were always positive, and it would be hard to find a picture of her that didn’t smile or laugh. She had the cutest giggles and always laughed. Everyone knew when Rosebud was walking into the room or a party from those sweet chuckles. She was a giving person both physically and spiritually and always offered to help others in their need. She had infinite compassion for others and always offered an open ear and helpfulness to those in need.

For Rosemary, family and friends were everything. She had a strong loyalty to those in her life and she loved them with everything in her. She was always open to making and receiving new friends everywhere. Every company she worked for was very fortunate to have Rosemary as an employee. She hated calling in sick, always offered to take on extra shifts, was on time, gave 100% and did it while providing the most amazing customer service any company could expect. When she was younger she worked as a breakfast lady in a local hotel and the hotel guests and staff just loved her. During her work there, she received many awards for her services. She has worked at Winco for the past three years and has always been so proud of her work. Rose loved her coworkers like they were family, and she really enjoyed interacting with customers like they were old friends.

Rosemary had an endearing bond with Shirlene and her in-laws’ Wes. Shirlene always wanted a daughter and they developed a special bond. Shirlene loved shopping for gifts for Rose and she even decorated a special bathroom in her house that Rosemary could use when she passed. Shirlene and Wes always felt that Rosemary was so good for Adam and that she had the most positive influence on him and his life.

Rosemary also had a close relationship with her great-grandfather, Bob, and they spent a lot of time together. She shared with him her goals of buying a home, so Grandpa set out to help her with that goal by saving and giving it to her any extra income he had at the end of the month. Grandpa even paid for a new kitchen in her recently bought house.

Grandma Peggy and Grandpa Easton also had a special love and bond with Rosemary. They played a very important role in Rosemary’s whole life, giving as much of themselves as they loved her with everything they had. They hosted countless family celebrations during their lifetime and made sure that we all remained very closely connected as a family.

This world and our lives are really better, kinder and more loving because Rosemary was here.
