Ryan Lee Tippetts – Millard County Chronicle Progress

July 19, 1974 ~ July 31, 2022

Ryan Lee Tippetts, age 48, passed away peacefully in Layton, Utah on July 31, 2022 from complications of a stroke.

Ryan was born on July 19, 1974 to Reid Lee Tippetts and Sandra Regina Gutto Tippetts. He was a chubby-cheeked, happy baby who loved life from the moment he was born. Ryan grew up on the family farm in Sutherland, Utah and loved working and playing on the farm. At an early age, he demonstrated a talent for fixing things and enjoyed operating machinery and repairing it. While attending Delta Elementary School in the 4th grade, he and his close friend, Sheldon Kauwe, tied for 1st place in the annual Spelling Bee. He also enjoyed performing some Hawaiian dances on a program directed by their teacher, Eleanor Dalton.

As a teenager, Ryan really enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family and his scout groups. He had a passion for tying flies and using them to catch a bunch of wily trout, and had many fond memories of Scout trips to Flaming Gorge with leader, Steve Draper; and annual week long family campouts to Granite Creek in the Deep Creek Mountains by Callao. In high school, Ryan was on the Debate Team. He enjoyed the challenge of matching wits with his opponents, and was good at it.

During this time Ryan bought a baler and baled his Dad’s hay for several years; however, that didn’t help him to a habit of getting up early. After school and in the summertime, he worked for master mechanic, Ken Fowles, at his shop. He learned so much from Ken, and also from a brief stint at Droubay Chevrolet. After graduating from Delta High School, he worked for Pozziletic, and then at Ryan Palmer’s Autobody Shop in Manti. He really enjoyed his association with the Palmer family: Guy, Lynda, and Ryan.

He married the love of his life, Natalee Yates, on November 20, 1998 in Delta. They had two handsome sons, Jaden and Jordan. After a few years they moved from Manti back to Delta, and Ryan started ‘Tippetts Custom Services’, harvesting and delivering feed to local dairies. When several of those dairies went out of business, he was forced to close TCS. He then opened ‘Finishing Touch Autobody’, running it successfully until 2007. Ryan and Natalee moved to the Ogden area, and he started painting and remodeling houses for a time, then later worked for several years at Buttars Tractor in Tremonton. Most recently, Ryan owned and ran his own business ‘SCA Appraisals’ providing bids on damaged vehicles; and also rented farm ground, enjoying coming back to Delta to work it.

Ryan’s most proud accomplishment in life was that of being a Family Man. He was a devoted son to his parents and always treated them with respect. He also had a great relationship with his siblings, Nilton and Regina. With the help of his wife, he loved cooking good food for family get togethers. Ryan and Natalee had a one in a million marriage and loved being together, whether cooking or camping or going to Delta to farm. Together they have raised two honorable sons and have three beautiful grandchildren.

Ryan always supported his wife in her passions of painting, crafts and exercise. He loved to see her do well in every endeavor. He also loved going to his son, Jaden’s, band concerts. He was so proud of the accomplished guitarist that Jaden has become. Ryan gave his all to take care of his developmentally challenged son, Jordan. He went above and beyond, with his wife always by his side.

Ryan loved and appreciated his in-laws, the Clyde and Donetta Yates family. He had great memories of working with his brother-in-law, Matt, delivering feed to the Dairies. He also looked forward to the big Yates desert get togethers during Easter time. Ryan also enjoyed playing golf with his father-in-law, Clyde. We still don’t know which is the best golfer.

We will miss Ryan so much. His passing has left a huge hole in our lives and hearts. Your mom and sister, Regina, will miss your trips to Las Vegas and hanging out with you. Your brother, Nilton, will miss farming, hunting and talking firearms with you. Your dad is going to miss talking to you on the phone and your visits to the farm. Your wife, Natalee, is going to miss your steady hand and especially your unwavering love. Your boys, Jaden and Jordan, are going to miss your example of what a man should be. We love you so much! Till we meet again.
