School bus rolls on snowy Utah Highway, nobody injured
OGDEN, Utah (AP) – A school bus driver was quoted after a bus rolled off a snowy road in northern Utah.
No one was injured in the accident that occurred Thursday morning on State Route 66 in Morgan County, the Standard Examiner reported.
The driver and a student were on board when the bus slid off the road and rolled onto the driver’s side, police said.
The driver was cited for driving too fast for the conditions, said Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Mike Irvine.
The crash came while the bus was picking up Morgan High School students at the start of its journey, Morgan County School District spokeswoman Gwen Romero said. She called the crash a “coincidence” that happened when the vehicle was going into a muddy curve.
