Sharee Stringham Mohar was born on August 15, 1940 and passed away at her home on September 2, 2022. She was a proud member of the Uintah High School class of 1959. She married Charley Mohar Senior on March 16, 1959. Sharee is preceded in death by her brother Kary Stringham, parents Ken and Verlie Stringham, and husband Charley. She is survived by her brother Kenny Stringham, her children and their spouses Charley Mohar Jr (Jolene) and Kenny Mohar (Meagin), her five granddaughters, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Sharee spent most of her childhood on the mountain tending sheep and raising bum lambs. Sharee had many experiences while on the mountain, from bear encounters to the sheep wagon burning down. She spent a lot of time with her brothers riding horses and making memories. They spent many days alone at the Stringham cabin while their parents were away.
During her high school years, she was a member of the cheerleading pep squad and junior horse lovers club. With her love of horses and her skills to match, she was crowned rodeo queen and Utah princess. She was very proud of these accomplishments. During her senior year of high school, she met Big Charley, the love of her life, at the Beeline gas station where he worked. Sharee & Charley raised two amazing boys, Charley Jr & Kenny, along with many other outlaws in town. You will hear multiple people say Charley and Sharee raised me. Sharee never missed her boys sporting events & endeavors and she was their biggest fan.
Sharee & Charley owned and operated Charley s Save More & Service and raced horses. After fifteen-plus years, they moved on from the gas station & went racing full time. They spent most of their days at the track. Racing horses was a great love & family life. They traveled across the country making memories and forever friends. Sharee spent a lot of time cleaning stalls. Many jokes have been made, even to this day, about Sharee being the best stall cleaner around. She was a very hard worker. She spent many years at the stalls taking care of children, grandchildren, goats, and horses. She enjoyed every minute of it.
Sharee really loved animals, especially dogs, horses, and sheep. They would take in any animals that needed a home.
After Sharee lost the love of her life, she settled at home in Vernal, Utah helping raise grandchildren and holding many jobs. Her most loved job was when she worked in the school district in the cafeteria & as a sweeper. The older granddaughters and niece will remember many fun times hanging with grandma at the school.
Sharee really loved being a grandma and aunt. She spent so much time having tea parties, playing in bands, dancing, having birthday parties for stuffed animals, giving many hours of back rubs, and having sleepovers. When great grandchildren came along, she loved them just as much. She was very proud of her family.
Over her lifetime, Sharee enjoyed playing the lottery, listening to the police scanner, and being the mouse in the house. She also enjoyed flea markets, The Denver Broncos, and sightseeing. Her biggest love was being at the cabin. Having cleanup days was one of her favorites. Listening to stories and being together was a real treat.
Sharee loved to volunteer and give service. Over the years she spent time volunteering for the American Legion, the schools, and her class reunion. After Grandpa Mac died, Sharee moved in with Grandma Verlie to take care of her. Sharee would give you the shirt off her back.
Sharee will be remembered for her heart of gold, sense of humor & sarcasm. Her smile would brighten any room. Our world will not be the same without her in it.
