Strong winds cause power outages around Utah

OGDEN, Utah — Power outages due to high winds are affecting cities across the state.

Rocky Mountain power issued two statements on its Twitter account addressing the power outages.

Customers in Ogden, Layton and surrounding areas are experiencing power outages. Rocky Mountain Power estimates the time of restoration to be 1 am

Additionally, Bluffdale, Draper, and surrounding areas are experiencing power outages. Rocky Mountain Power says the outages are affecting 3,857 people. The power company estimates the time of restoration to be 1:30 am
