The Home Depot to hire over 1,100 in Salt Lake City area

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) – The Home Depot hopes to fill hundreds of open positions in the Salt Lake City area.

Over 1,100 part-time and full-time positions focus on customer service, processing online orders on the roadside or in-store, unpacking cargo overnight, and merchandising. The Home Depot says the positions will support its busy spring season.

The positions available vary by business. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply by texting JOBS to 52270 or visiting the Home Depot online.

The Home Depot offers specialized resources and programs for the military and their spouses, such as bespoke services, networking, coaching and transition programs. They also guarantee employment opportunities for employees who are spouses of resettlement members in the military.

The company recently relaxed its mask guidelines, stating that fully vaccinated customers and employees no longer need to wear face covers unless required by state and local regulations.

Several other national companies are hiring in the Salt Lake City area. Amazon aims to fill over 1,400 positions while UPS has over 200 open positions.

TSA is seeking 20 full-time and five part-time transportation security officers (TSOs) to work at Salt Lake City International Airport. Newly hired TSOs receive $ 500 when they start the job and an additional $ 500 after working for TSA for a year.
