The Sun’s three stars from Friday’s action – Lowell Sun

Here are The Sun’s three stars from Friday’s high school action:

Javanese Kirmil, Lowell

The Red Raiders got their offense untracked and the senior guard was a major why Lowell defeated MVC rival Billerica, 76-55, in a boys basketball clash. Kirmil finished with a team-high 23 points for the Red Raiders.

Amanda Ogden, Tewksbury

Ogden was a key reason the Redmen captured a MVC girls gymnastic meet and defeated Dracut, 129.45-116.3. Ogden was the all-around champion with a score of 36.45.

Jack Dorsey, Chelmsford

The Lions got past MVC opponent Central Catholic, 107-64, in a boys swimming meet and the captain played a big role. The senior was part of two winning relay teams and he also swam to victory in the 200 free in 2:08.88.
