A woman who discovered that her new husband had cheated on her the day after their wedding announced that they are still living together despite being “devastated” during his eight-month affair.

Aubry Lyn, 41, of Vernal, Utah, had just married Justin Unfred, 35, when she received a Facebook message from a stranger claiming that her new husband had a secret girlfriend.

Devastated, Aubry immediately confronted Justin, who admitted cheating on her and was ashamed of trusting a man who had had a baby with another woman back in 2019.

Aubry, who has children from a previous relationship, has petitioned for her marriage to be annulled but still lives with her new husband and admits she feels “so up and down”.

“I’m devastated,” said Aubry. “I feel tempted to marry him when he saw someone behind my back. I had no idea.

“He was nothing but kind to me and sent me loving texts for a long time. He’s very apologetic now, but I don’t think we can do it. ‘

Aubry met Justin, who recently divorced his ex-wife, at a bar in August 2018 and the couple hit it off immediately.

“It was intense that we had so much chemistry,” she said. “It felt like a fairy tale.”

In February 2019, Aubry received a call from her best friend who told her Justin had another friend who he was having a baby with.

“I confronted him, disturbed, and he admitted it,” she said. “I found out that they had planned to get married then.”

Aubry managed to forgive Justin, saying, “He was so convincing. He has a silver tongue. We managed to move on and he finished with the woman. ‘

Aubry and Justin’s relationship got back on track and he proposed outside their back door in October 2019.

“I was a bit hesitant to say yes as I’ve been married three times, but he was so flattering and nothing but amazing to me,” she said.

Over time, Justin urged them to set a date for the wedding, she claims.

“I didn’t bother to speed it up, but he was sure we should go out on a date,” she said.

“He promised the moon and kept saying that it would be easier if we were married.”

The following evening, while they were waiting for a restaurant reservation, a message appeared on Aubry’s phone from a stranger that read, “The man you are about to marry is with my mother.”

“Justin was right next to me so I showed him and he denied it,” said Aubry. “I didn’t know what to think – so I asked for evidence.”

Within an hour, Aubry received screenshots of conversations between her husband and another woman, she claims.

“They were sexual in nature and even talked on the day of our wedding,” she said.

I turned and yelled at him and threw my beer in his face. I also took off the rings and threw them on the floor. I drove around in an Uber crying for hours, I was so depressed and embarrassed.

“My family and friends had told me something was wrong, but he had charmed me.”

Justin added, “I see what I’ve done as a failure. I am very upset about the choices I made. I love her and I want us to work this through. ‘
