PROVO, Utah- Hugo Townsend recorded his third top-five finish of the season to lead Boise State men’s golf to a fifth-place finish at the 57th-annual Cougar Classic at Riverside Country Club.

The Broncos (278-295-292—864) finished the tournament 1-over par, tied with Nevada and Utah Valley for a share of fifth place. Rounds two and three were completed Saturday.

Townsend (65-73-69-207) combined to shoot 10-under par in his first and third rounds, finishing the tournament fourth at 9-under. Townsend logged his 18th-straight top-25 finish and became the second Bronco all time to eclipse 30 such finishes in a career, joining Graham DeLaet (2001-04, 2005-06).

Max Charles (72-76-69—217) shot 3-under in the final round to finish tied for 27th, while Skyler Eubank (70-74-79—223) and Alex Talbot (71-75-77—223) each shot 7-over to tie for 49th.
