“I come out at night, and that is exactly what I am doing (now). I have nowhere to go, I am just going for a walk. Maybe not this last weekend, where we have had extreme heat, but I like to go to Pineview, hit the water. And fortunately, I work inside too. I crank up the (air conditioning) and stay hydrated. I have two kids and I like to hang out with them, and primarily just stay out of the heat.” — Riley Thomas, Ogden

“I would say that I have been drinking more water and staying inside a lot more. I have gone to the river a couple of times; I take my dogs to the Ogden River. I do not drink enough water per day. Right now I’m lucky if I drink a bottle a day.” — Jade Brakke, Syracuse

“I am drinking lots of water is the main thing I try to do, that and just staying inside. I like to go outside, but recently that is what I have been doing. I ride my motorcycle, and that depends on where you are at. If I’m riding in an open area, it does not help with keeping you cool, but if I’m riding in the canyon, it’s much cooler because you can feel the cooler wind and the ambiance, I guess.” — Brayden Carter, Roy

“I am not doing much different. The heat does not bug me too much. Stay inside later, and I spend most of my time in an office. … I’ll spend the evening on the deck still. … I have to work, so it keeps me indoors. On the weekends there is yard work, but I do it during the evenings, when it is cooler.” — Stephen Guzzetti, Pleasant View

“I have been in Italy all summer and it is even hotter over there. … It was over 105 degrees every day. I just dressed cool, didn’t go outside as much. I went on scheduled tours, like on an air-conditioned bus, and I think that Italians handle heat very well. They open their windows in the morning, they close them at around noon and they open them again at night.” — Julianne Ensey, Ogden
