Uintah County authorities continue to search for missing 19-year-olds

VERNAL – Several agencies are involved in search and rescue attempts for a missing 19-year-old who was last seen in Jensen on May 21.

According to the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office, aircraft from the civil aviation patrol from Utah and Colorado and a medical helicopter have joined law enforcement in search and rescue attempts for the missing teenager.

The sheriff’s office said Civil Air Patrol squadrons and a classic helicopter have conducted multiple air searches in Uintah County in the past few days.

Uintah County’s Assistant Sheriff Brian Fletcher said Max Stubbs has been missing in Uintah County for over a week. Stubbs was last seen in Jensen, Uintah County.

Stubbs is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall with blonde hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen driving a silver 2000 Chevrolet Silverado pickup with the Utah license plate U224JY.

Anyone who has seen Stubbs or the truck since May 21st is encouraged to call the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office at 435-789-2511.
