UINTAH COUNTY, Utah, Sept. 28, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) – Uintah County’s Stewart Lake Fire is now 90% contained, officials said Tuesday.

A tweet from Utah Fire Info on Monday at 6:45 pm said the fire near Jensen initially threatened structures, but activity was “significantly reduced” by falling temperatures and increasing humidity.

“It was found that the #StewartLakeFire was caused by mowers that ignited the fire,” said a follow-up tweet on Tuesday morning. “The activity today was minimal. The fire is estimated at 230-270 hectares. 90% included. “

Gephardt Daily will learn more about this development as information becomes available.
