Updated: Sweetwater County Plans to Sell a Building in Green River | Local

GREEN RIVER – The Sweetwater County Commission has received an offer for a county owned building advertised for sale in Green River and has approved a conditional counter offer.

The property for sale is located at 115 E. Flaming Gorge Way in Green River and has been used as a community service building. Following an executive meeting at the January 5 meeting, the Sweetwater County officers unanimously agreed to a counter offer containing terms on the property. Inspector Jeff Smith had to leave the meeting and did not vote.

The board will continue to accept sealed proposals until the property is sold or the board decides to end the application period as per the county’s website.

Anyone interested in purchasing the property can submit a purchase proposal to: Sweetwater County Board of County Commissioners at Sweetwater County Purchasing, 50140A US Highway 191 S., Rock Springs, WY, 82901. All listings must be sealed and labeled its exterior: 115 E. Flaming Gorge Way (County Services Building) REAL ESTATE.

All proposals must include the bidder’s name, address including city and state, phone number, signature of the person (s) submitting the proposal, block and lot, purchase amount, and any other terms proposed. The description of the property is: Green River Original Town, Block 10, Lot 6, 115 E. Flaming Gorge Way, Green River, WY 82935.

Proposals are opened at the Sweetwater County Commission meeting upon receipt of each proposal and reviewed at the executive meeting. All suggestions are kept confidential until the board accepts one. Once a purchase agreement is concluded, the transfer of ownership occurs at the time of payment by means of a Quitclaim deed. The Board of Commissioners can reject any proposal.
