Utah-based The National Parks announce line-up for second Superbloom festival

The all-ages, all-day concert event will happen at Sand Hollow Resort in Hurricane.

(The National Parks) Utah folk-pop band The National Parks will stage the second annual Superbloom Music Festival on Sept. 10, 2022, at Sand Hollow Resort in Hurricane.

A year after the Utah folk-pop band The National Parks realized their dream of holding a music festival in southern Utah, the band is ready to do it again.

The second Superbloom Music Festival is scheduled to happen Sept. 10, 2022, the band announced Wednesday, at the same location the first event was held: Sand Hollow Resort in Hurricane, Utah.

The band had planned to launch the festival in fall 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic threatened those ambitions. The band rescheduled the festival’s debut for Oct. 9, 2021, at OC Tanner Amphitheater in Springdale — but moved to Snow Hollow when a July flood knocked out the Springdale venue for several months.

Sand Hollow Resort is known for its proximity to several outdoor recreation areas, including the Sand Hollow Reservoir and Zion National Park.

The headliner will be Judah & The Lion, an alternative-folk band, from Nashville. The National Parks is taking second billing on the festival line-up. Third on the bill is Jamestown Revival, the Americana-folk group formed by Zach Chance and Jonathan Clay, who recorded their first album, “Utah,” along the Wasatch Front.

Also in the line-up: Indie-pop group Smallpools, four-part string band Mipso, folk band Birdtalker, LA-based indie band The Strike, Salt Lake City band The Moss, Missouri-based singer-songwriter Garon Brett, Provo- based indie-rock band Lantern By Sea, and Utah alt-pop artist Beeson.

VIP tickets, at $149, go on sale Thursday, April 14, at 10 am Mountain time; general tickets ($75) go on sale Friday, April 15, at 10 am Mountain. You can purchase them at https://www.24tix.com/event/2346339.
