Utah can expect clear weekend skies

The National Weather Service predicts a sunny weekend.

In Utah, warmer temperatures and clear skies are expected after a week of frost warnings and snow, according to the National Weather Service.

Although temperatures remain below average for this time of year, the high on Saturday is predicted to be around 62 degrees with clear skies and light winds in the afternoon. In the night of Saturday, a low of 40 degrees is expected, reported the weather service.

Sunday will bring a high near 69, which is in line with mid-60s average temperatures for mid-October. However, it will be colder next week.

Salt Lake City is forecast to have highs of 59, 55, 61 and 63 degrees on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Overnight lows are expected in the 1930s and 1940s.

There is a 50% chance of showers on Monday, but the weather service predicts no rainfall for the rest of the week.

In southwest Utah, weekend temperatures will hit the high 70s, with a high of 78 expected on Saturday and 79 on Sunday. Midweek is expected to be temperate, with highs in the mid-70s Monday through Thursday and lows in the 40s.

Temperatures in St. George are starting to align with the mid-October averages, where average highs are in the 1970s with lows in the 60s.
