SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Beehive State is celebrating its 125th anniversary.
On January 4, 1896, President Grover Cleveland signed a proclamation declaring Utah the 45th state.
In honor of the anniversary, the country holds special celebrations throughout the day.
The events are called “Thrive 125” and include a television special and a fireworks show.
The TV special kicks off at 6:30 p.m. on KSL TV and features performances by a number of well-known Utah artists.
Thereafter, fireworks will be set off simultaneously in all 29 Utah counties.
