Utah County’s voters have until Monday to send in the local area primaries Government and politics

Utah County’s election officials are reminding residents to send their ballots in ahead of Tuesday’s local elections.

Only 10 cities in Utah County will host an area code. These cities are: Alpine, Cedar Hills, Eagle Mountain, Highland, Orem, Provo, Salem, Santaquin, Saratoga Springs, and Spanish Fork.

The ballots were mailed to Utah County voters three weeks before election day, according to the Utah County Election Department, which determined that ballots must be postmarked by Monday, the day before the election.

However, voters who submit their ballot papers by mailbox or voting center have until Tuesday, 8 p.m. to submit their ballot papers.

“Every election is important to our country and our community, and the Utah County Elections Division wants to ensure that every eligible voter has the opportunity to vote,” said Josh Daniels, Utah County secretary / auditor, on a video of the upcoming Choose .

In the video, Daniels explained that ballot papers “are processed in exactly the same way, whether you drop them off at a mailbox, use the United States Postal Service, or pick up your ballot paper at polling stations on polling day.”

According to Daniels, ballot papers are weighed when they are picked up at the mailboxes and weighed again when they are accepted at the polling center.

In cities that hold primaries, post boxes are available in a variety of locations, including in each of the city offices.

According to the district electoral department, more than 21,503 ballots were cast on Thursday at 6 p.m., representing 11.25% of voters in cities with primary codes.

The data shows a voter turnout of about 16% in Alpine, 13% in Cedar Hills, 8% in Eagle Mountain, 10% in Highland, 12% in Orem, 12% in Provo, 16% in Salem, 12% in Spanish Fork, 15% in Santaquin and 7% in Saratoga Springs.

Each city will hold a local election on November 2nd later this year.
