Weber High’s Aisea Moa makes the switch from Utah to BYU official as early signing day unfolds

The BYU soccer team brought in plenty of talent from the state in their 2022 recruiting class.

From Weber’s defensive lineman Aisea Moa (the # 5 graded prep candidate in Utah) to players like Corner Canyon wide receiver Cody Hagen, the Cougars will have plenty of players who won’t have to travel far after entering college.

Moa, who previously worked in Utah, told The Salt Lake Tribune that BYU was a prime destination for recruits in the state as the players there are exposed to more than just the athletic aspect of college life.

“It’s not just about football,” said Moa. “They want to teach us how to be successful in life and be great fathers and husbands. Everyone over there is real. They don’t lie to you and try to get you to commit to them. You always kept it with me and everyone else with everything and left the decision to us. “
