What to do in Provo, Utah on Gameday

BYU plays its first home game on Saturday against Baylor. With many fans coming into Provo from both teams this article will be a guide on what to do, where to eat when to arrive to get a good parking spot, and so on for the gameday. I have been going to games for years and used to live in Provo so I know how much fun it is to attend games in person. If this is your first time in Provo I hope that it is enjoyable and I hope that this article will make it easier to navigate a game day in Provo Utah.

Places to See

Hike the Y

This hike up the mountain is beautiful in the fall. The hike itself is 2.2 miles round trip I think that it is decently easy and fun to do with children. It does get steep in some parts so plan for that you are also experiencing a good elevation change so remember that it may get harder as you get closer to the top. Also watch out for wildlife they can be on the trail or close to it.

Victor Bell

This is a must on game days. Before the game and even after the game especially if you are a Cougar fan and we come away with the Victory. After the game if we win Cosmo and a couple of players will be there to ring the bell, take pictures and sing the fight song.

Legacy Hall

Legacy Hall is open to the general public Monday through Saturday from 7:00 am until 9:00 pm Admission into Legacy Hall is free of charge and complementary tours are provided throughout the day or by appointment. For more information regarding Legacy Hall, please call 422-2118. This is a museum for BYU athletics it features 34 display cases, 21 wall displays and 13 video kiosks.

Where to Eat

BYU creamery

If you are looking for a treat this is the place to go located on 1209 900 East. The ice cream is so good and they have so many different flavors. I love going here its great they are friendly and they always have a variety of options. They will also have select options in the stadium as well.
