Winter storm clock for Sweetwater County this weekend

SWEETWATER COUNTY The National Weather Service (NWS) has released a winter storm clock for Sweetwater County starting Saturday afternoon, March 13th.

According to the Sweetwater County announcement, specifically Rock Springs, Green River, Flaming Gorge, and East Sweetwater Counties; can count on the effects of the winter weather until Sunday afternoon on March 14th.

In Sweetwater County, there can be “heavy snow” with accumulations of snow between 2 and 5 inches. Residents can also expect a northeast wind between 15 and 30 mph with a gust of up to 40 mph to accompany the storm. A maximum of 35 degrees is forecast for Saturday and Sunday. “Plan for slippery road conditions. Drifting snow and drifting snow can seriously impair visibility. Whiteout conditions will also be possible, ”said the NWS.

“Interstate 80 and other major highways will be hit by this storm,” predicts the NWS.
