14 small Utah cities among best places in US to start a business

If you’re looking to start a business, Utah is a great place.

Out of thousands of locations across the country, several Utah cities were among the best small towns to start a business with. The study conducted by WalletHub compared the business friendliness of more than 1,300 small towns. The data set with 20 key metrics ranges from the average growth in the number of small businesses to investor access to labor costs.

St. George was named the smallest city in the country to start a business, followed by Cedar City.

Washington was fourth, Logan fifth, Midvale sixth, and Clearfield ninth. 14 of Utah’s small towns were in the nation’s top 30.

Herriman and Sandy have partnered with three other cities (St. Cloud, Minnesota, Bryan, Texas, and Longview, Texas) for cities with the most accessible funding.

Washington and St. George saw the highest growth in the number of small businesses. Washington was also one of the cities with the most startups.

Herriman and Saratoga Springs were among the cities with the lowest average earnings per business.
